Website Woes

Thanks for your patience!

Recent visitors to the Kentucky Coalition to Carry Concealed website have no doubt noticed that we’ve been having some difficulty lately.  For several days we were completely offline and when the site was “restored”, well, that term really doesn’t quite fit what we had.  We found that content was missing or inaccessible and some features of the site were disabled preventing us from updating or even maintaining the website.  In addition, we received warnings that our allocated disk space was fifty percent over the limit and our available bandwidth was routinely being surpassed.

To those not familiar with the terms and situations described in the previous paragraph, let’s just say we experienced a major meltdown!

Numerous attempts to contact technical support at our hosting service went unanswered.  Not knowing what the problem was and being unable to find out, we decided the best thing to do was move the site to a new host.  Of course, being an all volunteer organization requiring several people to sign off on things of this nature, it took a few more days to authorize the funding and get through the organizational bureaucracy.  Throw in another couple of days to actually make it happen and here we are, back where we were more than a month ago.

Unfortunately, this couldn’t have happened at a worse time being that the legislature is in session with several firearms related bills being considered.  We apologize for the inconvenience and we plan to have the site extensively updated with regard to legislation and news over the next couple of days.  So keep checking back, the information you need to stay on top of current issues will be available soon.
