PASSED AT 2004 ANNUAL MEETING
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY!
WHEREAS,
The Kentucky Coalition to Carry Concealed, Inc. was organized for
the purpose of fostering and promoting legislation which protects
the rights of citizens to carry concealed weapons in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky; and
WHEREAS,
Law-abiding, productive citizens should not be required to prove
their goodness and lawfulness to, nor ask for the permission of, the
elected in order to exercise their inherent and inalienable right to
effect the most superior means of providing for their own defense
and safety; and
WHEREAS,
The current climate, both politically and socially, is somewhat
more amiable to the prospect of securing legislation that would
remove the requirement to be licensed to carry a concealed deadly
weapon;
NOW THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the membership of
the Kentucky Coalition to Carry Concealed, Inc., brought together
this day, May 15, 2004, that the focus of this organization, in
addition to providing necessary education pertaining to, and working
for the protection of, the rights and privileges regarding the
concealed carry of deadly weapons and the right to keep and bear
arms, should be directed toward repeal of the statutes prohibiting
the unlicensed carry of concealed deadly weapons by citizens of
lawful reputation. (i.e., "Vermont style" concealed carry)
Hereby proposed and submitted in accordance with the bylaws for
