there are bills that have been pre-filed for consideration by the
legislature and some firearms related bills are included. KC3
regularly maintains a page on this website that provides the
position of the organization toward each firearms related
legislative item based on the most up-to-date information available.

This Ohio CHL-holder was standing less than 5 feet
away from Nathan Gale when he drew his pistol. But because Roger is
a law-abiding citizen, and was obeying Ohio law which bans firearms

High court lets stand ban on gun shows
The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday let
stand a lower court's ruling that upheld a California county
ordinance banning gun shows on government property such as
fairgrounds.

of metal the height and width of a standard credit card, and about

- Lawmakers fund prisons, reject Pataki gun permitting changes
Lawmakers Wednesday also said they were
rejecting Pataki's plan to change the state's pistol and revolver
permitting system by requiring a five-year expiration on all
licenses and imposing a $100 fee for new and renewed licenses.
Sea captain granted permit to carry gun
on board
In what is being called the maritime
equivalent of airline pilots protecting themselves with firearms in
the cockpit, a Warren County judge has allowed a sea captain to
carry a gun while guiding ships along the New Jersey coast.

Gun Owners Shot Down Missouri Gov's
Reelection Bid
Missouri Gov. Bob Holden, a Democrat, is
one of the few sitting governors ever to lose a primary election.
But Holden should have seen it coming because of his anti-gun stand,

Report: 7,000-plus Americans bought weapons illegally

STATE: Police use of guns
'inappropriate' in school drug raid, but no charges, AG says
South Carolina's attorney general said
Friday it was "highly inappropriate" for police to draw guns during
a drug sweep at a Charleston-area high school last year but the
action did not warrant charges.
Brazil gets new gun law
Restrictions created by the new law
included stricter control of weapon importation and mandatory
registration of all firearms. Gun licenses will also have to be
renewed every three years, according to the new law.

Utah Legislature orders university to
lift guns ban

this year, the Utah Legislature passed a law requiring the
university to lift the ban.
SC - Gun regulations relaxed
For almost 30 years, anyone interested
in buying handguns in South Carolina had to wait 30 days between
purchases. ... These restrictions were lifted this week, at least
for state residents.
LA - Parade route gun-ban bill stripped
of its ammunition
A proposal to ban firearms within 1,000
feet of a parade route was watered down in a Senate committee
Tuesday to instead stiffen the penalties for those who commit crimes
with illegally possessed guns at a parade or similar street event.
