KC3
Elects 8 New Directors
Annual
Membership Meeting 2001
This year's Annual
Membership Meeting of the Kentucky Coalition to Carry Concealed had a
strong and positive tone. I came away from the meeting really pumped and
full of ideas. We talked a lot about our future and a bit about our past. I
think that a fresh vision of what our organization is about emerged from
this meeting.
8 new directors were elected to the board and 3
currently serving directors were re-elected, bringing the board to its full
compliment of 15 members. Highlights Shelby
Riggs gave us a recap of our legislative victories during the most
recent session of the state legislature. Shelby and Charles were there for
every committee hearing that related to our gun rights of both the Senate and House and did a superb job of
communicating, lobbying, and testifying before committees to help defeat a
number of ill-conceived and unconstitutional bills and amendments. Ed
Monk gave an outstanding presentation on how to provide a positive image
for supporters of gun rights. Ed is sharp, funny, well-informed and does a
highly engaging presentation. He's available to speak to groups, classes and
organizations free of charge. I can't begin to recap all of Ed's good ideas
or the incisive way he gets them across, but here are just a few of the
ideas he shared with us: http://www.kc3.com/editorial/ed_monk_stategies.htm For more info you can call Ed at 270-877-2861
