2004 ANNUAL MEETING

Thanks To Everyone That Attended!

The 2004 meeting of the membership is now history.  Directors and Officers were elected, the raffle was settled and the direction of the organization was decided.

First, the elections.  The terms expired for a number of Directors at this year's meeting including a few that had been appointed to their seat after the last annual meeting.  Re-elected to serve KC3 for a few more years were Shelby Riggs, Jim Dixon, Jerry Geise, Robert Jaynes and James Hall.  Jeff Edgens, who had been appointed to his seat, was elected by the membership to his first term.  Following the members meeting the Board of Directors elected the Officers of the Corporation as follows:  Kraig Keller as President, Jim Dixon as 1st V.P., James Hall as 2nd V.P. and Robert Jaynes will continue as Secretary / Treasurer.

After all of the reporting of what the previous year had been about, one resolution was introduced to the membership and was passed.  With its passage it was resolved that, in addition to the current activities that the organization is engaged in, KC3 will focus resources on attempting to effect license free concealed carry in Kentucky, what some refer to as "Vermont style CCDW".  We have no intention of doing away with the licensing process, quite the contrary, we like the idea that Kentuckians are able to acquire a license that allows them to carry concealed in numerous states besides KY.  We hope to follow the lead of Alaska in providing for our fellow citizens a more liberty minded environment where a law-abiding citizen need not ask permission to be able to exercise the most effective means of providing for their own defense.

Once again, thanks to all that took part in the festivities (as well as the work) and we hope to see them and many others next year.  Also, thanks to everyone who couldn't make it to the meeting but continue to support KC3 through their membership, donations of time or money and, most importantly, backing up our legislative efforts.

Until next year...
