There's been talk and action about dry districts where alcohol isn't allowed, but now there is a movement for gun-dry districts. Community activists are working to get legislative support that would put restrictions on guns and selling them in high-crime areas of metro Louisville.

Ohio Senate Changes Journalist Access

While certain information is still available to the media, they are only granted the right to view that information at a Sheriff's office. They may not write it down, copy it, or record it. Most importantly, they can not go to the Sheriff and request a written or electronic copy of the personal information about every single licensee. [Anyone in OH with, or contemplating, a CCDW license needs to contact their legislator and ask them to pass this bill in the House as well as override Taft's impending veto.  Then go to your senator and ask for the veto override as well!! - Ed.]

 

OH - Legislature overrides veto on gun law overhaul, cities prepare legal fight against gun bill

In a rare confrontation with lawmakers, Gov. Bob Taft vetoed a bill that wiped out half a dozen assault-weapons bans across the state and dozens of other local gun laws - but the Legislature overrode the veto soundly, the first time it had done so since 1977.

 

New Jersey - JERSEY CITY GUN BAN DEFEATED!
